Bonktoberfest

The annual EarthRiders trip to an IMBA Epic trail system is the weekend of October 10. Bonktoberfest will be travelling to the Mt. Ida, Arkansas area this year. In this area there are well over 100 miles of single track to ride. The well known trails in the area are The Womble, Ouachita, and La Vista. There are many other smaller systems in the area as well.

We have an entire cabin complex at Fishing Village reserved for EarthRiders. The cabins will be $25 a night per person to ER members with a limit of 25 cabin beds available. Overflow can tent camp for free or you can tent camp if you aren't into the cabin thing. EarthRiders is supplementing some of the cabin costs and that is how we are able to offer them for $25 per person per night. ER will also be picking up the tent camping fees. The cabin's won't last long. You have to be an EarthRider member for first dibs on a cabin spot.

I know that there is already of a group of at least 15 riders going this year. This will be a lot of fun with new trails to explore since we have had the event at Syllamo the past 4 years. Get your kitchen pass approved and head on down with us in October.

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls:

The premiere Kansas City Cyclo-cross and Cross-country race weekend is next weekend! The trails at Swope Park are in prime condition and begging to host a race.

Join the festivities on Saturday with a kids' race, trail running race, and this season's first Cyclocross race.

On Sunday the inaugural mountain bike race will take place on the 3.5 miles of singletrack. The beginner, just for fun, and junior racers take off in one group. The sport and expert racers take off when they're done. Kids can race Sunday as well.

Entry fees, start times, and classes can be found on our website.

Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy scenic Swope Park at an event the entire family will enjoy!

To aid in the further completion of singletrack at Swope, many items will be raffled on Saturday and Sunday [proceeds go to ERTA and HSP trail building efforts].

Saturday Chipotle burritos will be available and Sunday ERTA will provide concessions [proceeds go to ERTA and HSP trail building efforts].

JET Chiropractic will be on hand for any adjustments.
